Put the "SORRY" card in the post, scrawl it on you fridge reminder and staple post it notes all over your clothes as I whole heartidly (rather than the half heartidly I do most things) apologise for not posting for up to 2 weeks. A weird combination of rushing around for thing and events (and events and things) tiredness from said rushing around, some dash of laziness for good measure and a serious bout of self doubts about my abilities as an J.E.T/person has lead to me not only not being able to think of anything to write, but no time or energy to write that I haven't got anything to write because of energy to write errr which sounds somewhat like a film script written by Richard kelly and Charlie Kauffman only without Nic Cage as a set of twins, and a giant bunny rabbit, or better yet Nic cage faced twins dressed as scary bunny rabbits (Someone had better take note of that one it sounds like a winner)..
Anyway it seems I'm going to have to have somewhat of a major sit down on my own and catch up on things, like that Me and T.O.H had a long relaxing weekend in Kyoto and Osaka that I should mention. And that I went to see Sukiyaki Western Django in Kyoto - Which was okkaaay, visually very good the costumes in particular were great , sometimes a good balance of humour and tension (The "call me Henry" bit for example). Buuuuut in a lot of parts it just felt slowed down, I really didnt like the Sheriff of the town channeling Gollum really really badly, and really Quentin Tarantino if your out acted by people who have never spoken English before then isn 't really time to stop messing around with peoples feet in front of the camera and give us a decent movie (I'm judging Death proof this weekend in Kyoto.)
I should also quickly (too late) mention 2 things.
1) If you watched the new series of Heroes this week, Hiro is currently wandering around not too far from where we are in Japan, which appears interesting to me and T.O.H but just got a blank look from my teacher when I tried to explain it to her.
2) I may have mentioned this already but last week my students ask me to record something they had written for me in Japanese for the culture festival , after checking there was no swearing, I did it in my best English game show host voice. So yesterday the second years put on their play for culture festival which turned out to be about Okinawa during the war. I'm siting with the other teachers watching four girls pretending to sit in a cave considering committing suicide rather than be killed by the Japanese army, the other option for them is to go outside and risk being killed by the American army, "but" says one girl "they'll kill us too, they're horrible aren't they?" and then suddenly across the loud speaker system comes my recorded voice booming out in badly spoken but far too happy happy Japanese, It turns out I'm asking people to come out of their caves and surrender in the style of the wheel of fortune. The school as one turn to stare at me in some confusion and I decide that Perhaps next time I won't do it so jolly, and so English.

Jesus Christ! A Jr. High play about four girls contemplating suicide during the Battle of Okinawa? Whatever happened to Peter Pan or Bye Bye Birdie?
