That time of year again

Well another B day is rolling its way around for me like a boulder about to crush Dr. Jones, As I'm not really one to revel in being the centre of attention (okay that's a lie but I'm too modest to say otherwise) a nice meal seems the best bet. So this year I'm off to Osaka's Garlic restaurant in Tennoji, the only place which has toothbrushes in its washrooms and mouthwash on the menu (one of these is true) and then a visit to the mojo bar in Shinsibashi and maybe a club of the rock variety (but not Pure, never ever Pure) which should all add up to a nice relaxed b day. Of course as I'm now rapidly (almost once a year!) reaching the age where more dignity is involved I will soon be staying at home enjoying a nice pipe and slippers by the fire, rather than my 18th B daywhere I lay on the floor next to the toilets in the fan club in Leicester (just as the DJ was announcing my special b day message too DOH!) annnnyway #cough# enough about that.

We recently had our welcoming ceremony at school, a chance to view the new first years (this year they are very small) and a chance to see a hhhuuuuuge array of slippers worn by parents. It's a little strange to see the new third grade students as half of them still look like the first years I taught all those years ago, of course others of them have been hit by the puberty stick and have taken on a decidedly deeper voice when saying "EHHH Seennnseeiii I don't know!"

Oh and last night I had a phone interview for a university course back in England, it was my first phone interview and although nerves defiantly got the better of me at the beginning it seemed to be somewhat smother towards the end (although I always fail at the "do you have anymore questions?" section) so fingers crossed there.
Right back to the gym where the club activity members are explaining to the new first years why they should join their club, strangely I've never understood why someone from the baseball club dresses up as a women every year.
