Some things

Things that are experienced grow in my mind like dust in a oyster shell

Managing to have almost a complete conversation with a little old man this morning about the emerging cherry blossom

Being followed for ten minutes by the same bird while on my walk through the rice fields

Being stopped by a little old lady in the pouring rain in Osaka and being handed an spare umbrella she just happened to have on her.

The National on my Mp3 player as the early morning sun dries the puddles around me on the walk to work

The black crow that sits between the shadows of cherry trees by the river

The lady in the restaurant who gave me a heat pad and sweet when she noticed I was having problems with my neck

The old man who showed up at my door to hand me a home made bottle of sake and some vegtables, keeping a promise he'd drunkenly made 5 months before.

The swallows that dive and flit through the air feasting on small insects dancing in the spring warmth.

Eating my instant noodle lunch while sitting down by the river.
