Monday Monday Lemon curd Monday

Well first day back, and so far I'm not desperately searching the calender for the next holiday..yet
I did find I had made an activity faaarrr to hard for my little 1st graders leaving lots of blank looks and ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhss in the air.
This afternoon has seen glorious sunshine and the teachers all leaving early for home visits leaving me wandering around cheeking their desks for any sweets (only joking) still the lovely weather did get me a little nostalgic.

Why is it that our childhoods are saturated with golden sunshine and summers that never seem to end? mine were sometimes spent heading over to canals picking blackberry's, going to my grandfathers (seemingly) huge garden to pick at his gooseberry bushes as his bombfires drifted in the air, or all packing into the car to head to pick your own fields out in the countryside. All of which usually ended with my mum making jars of hot delicious jam. So inspired by all that nostalgia this afternoon I've followed the great (and very easy) recipe from Fresh Muesli (see food blogs on right) and so far its looking, and tasting, great. Which in a strange way has inspired me to attempt to make my own creamy celery soup which so far seems to be going okay, well so far I've just boiled everything for about 30 minutes but it smells nice and lets be honest here isn't that what counts?? Anyway if works I'll post the recipe later this week, if you have any suggestions or ideas or what not that please let me know.
