Well a happy new year and what not... Our household still doesn't contain the Internet and frankly the idea of writing this thing at the library whilst a queue of people stare over my shoulder really doesn't appeal to me well not that much anyway, plus it takes me a few days to actually think of this thing its not all on the hoof you know, well not all of it.
Anyway a good new years party was had by all with me and T.O.H having a small cocktail party round our house, although on reflection mixing an operator, kangaroo and a dirty bikini might sound fun (and like some sort of ITV sitcom) but the results were....errr well lets just say not that wanted. Anyway cocktails at 7, nice tapas dinner at 8, pub drinking at 9, someones house drinking at 10, sitting at the kitchen table at 11, ohhing and arrhing at fireworks at 12, dancing at 1 then managing to fall over in the garden, feeling a little unwell in the garden at 2, sleeping upright awaiting a taxi with arm over face at 3, waking up and finding someone attempting to put ice cubes down your shirt at 4 taxi ride with the windows wide open at 5 sleeping the sleep of the really rather tired at 6
frankly what else is there to do on new years?
My parents have really kindly presented me and T.O.H with a blender/processor as a Xmas/wedding present combo so its soup at week at Chateaux At the hope this weeks its been wild mushroom and tarragon and today its pea and ham I also gave the DVD of Brides head revisited the original 13 hour version which we are currently attempting to plough through which while good does make you want to wear boating hats and drink cocktails (and own a country estate) which means I really must go and get that recipe book out and treat Aloysius to a brandy Alexander
