Well last week I've been wandering around Japan with a friend of mine visiting from blighty so it was the usual places of interest, well the monkey park plus a nice day trip out to Nara to be harassed by dear and ohhh and arrhhh at temples. Although I could have probably done with not pushing the emergency button in the capsule hotel while looking for the channel changer on the TV. Anyway a good time was had by all well except maybe the poor man working on the front desk of the capsule hotel.
Anyway this week at school I've slowly become accustomed to school life and the random things that happen such as...
Work the first years are supposed to be doing; using the phrase "do you..."
words that the first years have asked me to spell during said work; Egg plant, pumpkin, bird poo, head, Rudd van Nisleroy (which as you can see I still can't spell)
the second years meanwhile continue to be a source of some confusion both theirs and mine, during lessons today the teacher had to ask two lads to stop groming each other, actual proper gromming like this

Actually this more an excuse to put pictures of monkeys on here, but really one lad had his head on the desk while another was searching his hair for grey hair which would later be offered to me as I presume some sort of appeasement present which I sadly declined although if anyone would like some grey hairs I think I know where I can get some. This kind of doesn't compare to my second err second year lesson in which one boy wore swimming goggles during half the class. Actual proper swimming goggles, of course this being Japan we more of less ignored it especially as he was actually still doing his work just I presume with more tunnel vision.
Tomorrow sees more first year lessons on numbers so I presume it will mean more vegetable spelling and grooming.
Headmaster clothing watch; blue stripped tie, blue shirt with rolled up sleeves and a casual laying back of the chair
headmaster style watch; Like a very very relaxed newspaper editor who's about to shout "hold the front page!" but decides to go for lunch instead.
