Alltogether now
"HURRRRARR its the last day of term!!!"
This of course means a closing ceremony was held this morning, deep within the icy bowels of the school gym. I somehow missed the opening of the errr closing ceremony thanks to the usual working at my desk (coughreadingthenewsonthecomputersCough) only to look up and find everyone has disappeared. I eventually clicked 8hey its early okay!) and found everyone listening to the principles speech, during which, looking down from his plinth backed by rows of flags, he commented "Its very cold, isn't it" and then decided to proceed for another 5 minutes in said cold. We've also had cleaning time in which the students clean the windows, sinks, toilets desks and basically anything that's not nailed down and usually a few things that are nailed down for good measure. I quite enjoy cleaning time as the kids are relaxed (well when not fighting with brooms or chasing each other through the corridors) they're happy its the end of term and I'm even happier its Christmas. I spent my time cleaning the special needs classroom, managing to persuade the student to stay and help, well when I say persuade I mean bribe but hey it still worked, well for ten minutes anyway.
Anyway in exchange for one of the teachers helping me book a small holiday for me and T.O.H I've agreed to help with the enkai, what this form of help means I don't quite know but hopefully it won't be anything like the picture below of one teacher during the Christmas enkai 2 years back.

Headmaster watch end of term special; Gray suit, navy blue shirt, gold tie pin, all backed with an assortment of flags from Japan.
Headmaster style; Like he's counting down the seconds till the ENKAI!
