For the last four months I've been constantly assured by my supervisor and headmaster that I'm going to get special holiday time off when I wanted to visit England, which basically means that its not taken off my actual holiday allowance. In my 2 years in Japan, I haven't gone home to blighty, haven't skipped days, I haven't even taken any extra sick days. S0 it was all kinds of annoying when after being told yesterday it would be fine to have "special holiday" by my headmaster (after bribing him with cake). The local board of education B.O.E have turned around and told me they won't give me special holiday, and the three weeks I've booked off will come out of my own, limited, holiday time.
I think the correct word is ARHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHwith this face
Anyway inspired by 300 (the movie not the actual number as we all know 113 is the inspirational number) after first shouting, kicking the various members of the B.O.E into a large pit and practicing my SPARTA LEAP!! I've booked the time off anyway so on the 23rd July its back to blighty, , to stock up on toothpaste, chicken stuffing and moan about the weather. The countdown starts.......NOW!
In the meantime, the heat and humidity means the air is shimmering all around me, the dragon flies are starting to come out (more on those later) and a constant sweat is on the students brow, while my nights have been filled with strange nightmares, the one about the (English) big brother household having to perform a pans people style dance routine dressed in silver leotards was an especially traumatic experience.
Until then...sleep well.
