Golden week - mid week work wonder break.

Once again I haven't put any new pictures on my postings
So as Madonnnna says badly on her song "I'm sorry"
goMen-NAsaiiiiii (seriously check it out its terrible.)
Actually one of the reasons nothing was put on my piccassa image thingy was through reading the, very good for new music, blog "Let's sexy fighting" Which currently contains not only the new Interpol single fresh from the radio (after the White Stripes track from X Fm is radio taping the new Mp......wait... isn't home taping killing music or at least thats what they told us in the 80's! see it really does go round in circles.) But also John Cales version of one of my favourite tracks of the year SO FAR! ! LCD Soundsystems "All my Friends" The new single of which includes both Cales and Franz Ferdinands version of the same song.
I like F.F (and no not the Fantastic Four) version which they make into their own pretty successfully. But listening to Cales version really brings out the Joy divsion qualities of the song, the dark brooding opening and simple guitar line, intermingling with very quite handclaps as the drums slowly start to come out. Its retrospective nature, contemplating lost friends and times past just seems ideal for Cales vocals and makes the song even more poignant when he sings "where are your friends tonight?."
Anyway check it out and don't forget the actual single comes May 28th featuring ALLLLL three versions, come on show James Murphey that he doesn't have to be such a grumpuess.

oh and by the way I'm saving the Interpol track for the afternoon when all the other teachers are in classes and I can play air drums on my own, I'm even hoping to pursuade the elderly secretry to join me on twangy guitar, so just imagine us two rocking out over here.
