When I first arrived in Japan I couldn't work out why my camera phone made such a loud noise when I tried to take a picture. That is until someone pointed out that's to prevent any dubious uses of it when in public, or in other words to make it more difficult for strange men to take a picture whilst lurking in the nearby bushes oh those bush lurkers when will they learn???
